Clean Eating for Fat Loss – The Other Food You Should Avoid Like the Plague

by Susan on November 14, 2009

Not too long ago I wrote about one of the foods, soda and diet soda, you should absolutely avoid if you wanted to be healthy or lose fat.

I would like to talk to you today about another killer food that will make you sick, tired, and fat.

Do you want fries with that?

Before I get into the hows and the whys I need to point out that french fries have to be America’s #1 consumed “vegetable”. They come with burgers and sandwiches all across the world in 99% of the restaurants out there. They come super sized and in happy meals and are being fed to kids.

They’re everywhere and they taste soooooo good.

The french fries that taste so incredible are killing you and making you fat.

The problem is that french fries contain 3 things that are deadly to our body – saturated fat, trans fat, and preservatives.

1. Saturated fat – comes from the oil that the fries are deep fried in. These fats are well renowned to clog arteries, raise LDL cholesterol, lower HDL cholesterol, and increase triglycerides. That’s a heart attack waiting to happen.

2. Trans fat – also comes from the oil the fries are cooked in. Trans fats act as carcinogens in our bodies leading to cancer, heart disease, heart attacks, and other inflammatory diseases such as auto-immune diseases.

Yum, still loving those french fries? If yes, read on. This last one should get you.

3. Preservatives – are chemicals. Actual chemicals are put on our food to preserve color, flavor, texture, and freshness. The problem is that these chemicals are toxic to our body and can, among other things, slow down our metabolism leading to weight gain.

Don’t believe me? You will be shocked when you watch this video of the 4 year old hamburger and 6 year old french fries. You HAVE to see these fries. Watch this now:

What I have tried to do in this article is get you to see the inherent dangers of consuming french fries – ever.

Never eat them, they will make you sick and fat.

If you care about your kids, your family, and your friends, you will do everything in your power to prevent them from eating them too.
