Hey, this is Susan and I am hanging out drinking a smoothie and writing this post with another killer exercise video in my best ab exercises video series.

Today’s best ab exercise is the Superman Superwoman! That’s more like it!
Now this exercise is not so much an abdominal exercise as it is a core exercise, more specifically the low back and glutes.
However, it is necessary to prevent injuries and to proceed to more dynamic and advances abdominal exercises that we include total core exercises on to our best ab exercises list.
Not to mention, I get to pretend I’m Super Grover from Sesame Street while I’m doing it. Ah, good times!

To perform the superman:
- Lay on the ground face down with your arms and legs extended straight out in front of you and behind you, respectively.
- Brace your core.
- Lift your arms and legs off the ground about 6-8 inches while balancing on your stomach and squeezing your glutes.
Hold for 20-30 seconds and work up to 1 minute with practice.
Mastering the Superman will insure your core stays healthy as you improve the strength and endurance of your abdominals.
