Fat loss WITHOUT Dieting? A Day in the Life of Susan Campbell

by Susan · 2 comments

Last Sunday night I had an early dinner with my Mom. I had a salad to start with a little ranch dressing, a big piece of scrod, mashed potatoes, some veggies, and a slice of bread with a little butter. We were done eating by about 6 pm and I headed home shortly after that.

For the next few hours I prepared for the workday ahead, did the dishes and finished up some laundry. I was in bed by about 10:30 pm.

Monday morning my alarm went off at 5:30 am. I managed to hit snooze only once before getting up and shortly thereafter I was out the door to lead a bootcamp from 6:30 – 7:30 am.

Bootcamp was awesome, we had a great workout that I also participated in. My campers always work so hard and I am very proud of them!

I was home by 8 am and in the shower to get cleaned up for the day. By 9 am I was sitting at my computer responding to emails, completing tasks for customers, setting appointments for the upcoming week, and even wrote a blog! I did this for about 3 hours, after which I headed out the door to visit a few clients for the afternoon.

I was able to meet with 3 clients that afternoon and had a 30 min apt with my chiropractor!

I was really having a productive day!

I was home by 4:30 pm, completed some follow up tasks from my visits with clients, and by 5:30 pm was preparing dinner, which I ate about 6 pm. My creation was awesome! I made a zucchini and tomato bake and put it over a little kamut pasta. I couldn’t pass up dessert, I had a couple of Lindt peanut butter truffles. Yum!

After dinner I cleaned up and sat down to relax with a movie before hitting that hay around 10:30 pm.

I went an entire 24 hours without eating.

Have you ever tried that?

I was amazed at how I felt during this time and I learned a bit about myself:

1. I learned that I don’t always eat just when I am hungry.

2. I learned that I often grab a little snack when I want to procrastinate a task I don’t really want to do.

3. I learned I don’t need to constantly be eating to have energy.

4. I learned I can get a ton more work done when I am not thinking about food, what to have, how much of it to eat, how to prepare it, where to stop for it, etc.

5. I learned I could do a great,  hour long, intense bootcamp workout without having eaten before it.

I wasn’t hungry, I had plenty of energy, I got a boat load of work done, and I had a great workout all while fasting for 24 hours!
