Hey, hope you had a great weekend!
Just wanted to write a quick note to inform you of this week’s nutrition challenge.
Now remember, you need to be cleaning up your diet and faithfully doing your home fitness workouts to reach your fitness and weight loss goals, but by making this one nutrition improvement you will be giving yourself the greatest chance of success.
So, this week’s nutrition challenge is:
Drink 1 green smoothie everyday.
Drinking smoothies are a great way to get in all your veggie and fruits that you should be consuming into one delicious “meal”.
What qualifies as a green smoothie?
You need at least 1 green veggie in your recipe to qualify for it to be a green smoothie. However, the more you add to the drink, the greater your benefits will be.
You may have a great idea for your first day on the challenge, or you may not have a clue how to make a green smoothie.
Here are two examples for you.
Here is my favorite go to smoothie which just so happens to qualify for this challenge:
- 1 banana
- frozen raspberries
- 2 handfuls spinach
- almond milk
- ground flax seeds
But if you really want to add the greens into your drink you may make something like this:
- 1/2 english cucumber
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 handful spinach
- almond milk
This recipe is really tasty – and actually doubles really great as a salad dressing or topping for chicken.
