When you embark on any fat loss or fitness program, whether it be workouts for home or the gym, it is going to take time for you to begin to see results. Depending on how much weight you have to lose and what steps you are taking to lose it, you may see results in the first few weeks or you may not notice anything for 6-8 weeks.
If you don’t see results right away you might be tempted to make a change to your action plan thinking that it isn’t working.
Patience, my friend.
You have to give your diet changes and your exercise regime time to work and do its thing. Do not stop working hard. And do not bail on a sound action plan for some get thin quick plan, starvation diet, or fat burner. None of those is going to get you any closer to achieving your fat loss or fitness goals.
It is also important to maintain a good level of consistency when attempting to lose fat or increase your fitness level. An example of not being consistent would be if you stick to your exercise regime for 2 weeks and then you miss workouts in the third week because you were too tired to workout, and then you tried to get back on track in week 4 but by the end of the week you were skipping workouts to go to dinner with friends.
Make sure you are getting in all of your fat loss workouts and eating a clean diet of whole, natural foods. Maintain this for as long as it takes to meet your fat loss and fitness goals.
Have patience. Be consistent.
