I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.I’m back reporting on days 6-7 on Isabel Del Los Rios’s The Diet Solution Program.
This weekend was absolutely gorgeous! I did a ton of yard work, and got to visit with my family.
I especially love spending time with my 12 year old nephew, Luke. He is so fun to be with!
Anyway, sticking to The Diet Solution Program this weekend was a minor challenge.
In my house this weekend, I had a 12 year old kid who can eat anything and still stay razor thin. His diet consists of pizza, ramen noodles, soda, and watermelon.
I also had a person who eats until she is full and primarily eats pasta, bread, fried foods, and red meat.
The other person visiting me was aware that I was on The Diet Solution Program and agreed that she would not do anything to tempt me to stray from the program.
In fact, she actually asked if she could take the metabolic typing test that comes with The Diet Solution Program so she could start using it immediately.
That said, this weekend I had pizza, soda, ramen noodles, fried fish, macaroni salad, and chocolate in the house.
I am pleased to tell you that I did indulge in 2 pieces of pizza on Saturday and only a handful of Hershey Kisses on Sunday scattered throughout the evening.
Although I indulged just a little, just enough to keep the cravings at bay, I didn’t go overboard and ruin all the positive gains I have achieved so far on The Diet Solution Program.
I do have a little self control! However, I attribute my “success” this weekend to being surrounded by people who know my goals, know what steps I am taking to achieve my goals, and support me at all times.
The reason I stopped at only a few Hershey Kisses is because my boyfriend would not let me have anymore.
The reason why I only had 2 small pieces of pizza this weekend is because my sister had a ton of healthy food choices and vowed to do The Diet Solution Program with me this weekend. (Not to mention the fact that my nephew doesn’t share his pizza well – actually someone who loves it as much as I do!).
Having a support system behind you is imperative to any successful fat loss effort.
If you live with someone make sure they know what your goals are. Also, share with them how you would like them to support you.
They could hold you accountable, give you pep talks, help keep junk food out of the house, whatever it takes!
Also look to friends and family outside of the house. Recruit one of them to be a workout buddy, and report to each other what you ate all day long to help hold you accountable.
And if you have the misfortune of not having anyone in your life to support you in your fat loss efforts, then look to make new friends online.
There are hundreds of online forums and support groups you can join for free where you can communicate with experts and people who are exactly where you are with the exact same goals.
It is a great way to discover best practices when it comes ot fat loss, what works and what doesn’t work for others, and just a safe place to go for motivation and encouragement.
I know that you can make friends for life in these types of forums.
So, make sure you recruit people at home, in your social life, at work, and online – essentailly, wherever you can, to be your support group to help hold you accountable in your fat loss efforts.
