Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Day 11

CHEAT DAY!!!!! Holla!

As all of you know who are already participating in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet that the best part of the whole program is cheat day!

In fact, for me, the thought of another cheat day gets me through days 2-5!

I plan and dream all about what foods I am going to eat on my cheat day based on 2 things:

1. My favorite foods.

2. Any food I was tempted by during the previous days that I had to deny myself of.

So, last night when Scott and I went to the store to get salad makings for dinner, I went right to the bakery and picked up a container of cheese danish! Yum! I got regular cheese but also got raspberry and apple (for Scott) flavored for breakfast.

Ha! I told Scott I was going to make him breakfast in bed! And that’s what I did!

I placed a few danish (tempted by earlier in the week) on a plate and brought it in for us to share. GREAT start to my day! Love the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet!

Oh, and if you remember my update from yesterday then you know that after 9 days of strength training I decided to take 1 day off because my muscles were pissed.

Today I came back wicked strong and absolutely killed today’s density workout! And you have to love a day where you can eat whatever you want and only do 1 workout not 2 or 3.

The calm before the storm, perhaps (think fast day)?

So, with the workout out of the way early I had a ton of things to do today.

Went to take care of my Mom’s yard and mow, had to run down to her rental property and take care of a few things as well.

But first she made me go to brunch with her. I got 2 slices of breakfast pizza, chocolate milk, and a chocolate chip pancake. Not too shabby.

But the best part is that, as a reward for all of these things, my Mom took Scott and I to get ice cream, which is one of my favorite foods I need to have each cheat day.

Oh and not only did I get ice cream but I made an absolute pig of myself by getting a large hot fudge sundae. What? I have NEVER in my whole life gotten a large anything! Why am I starting now? Even though I loved every last bite of it!

More on that in a minute…..

Scott and I went home and he made a fire in the fire pit to burn down some of the wood he has (he is a contractor) accumulated (please don’t hate if you are earth friendly, I have no control over that part of him!). And then we started throwing the football around the backyard and watched Buddy run in between us trying to get it, sort of like Monkey in the Middle!

We also threw the tennis ball around for him so he got his exercise in too!

Then Scott and I pulled out the hammock and his new ipad and started browsing local menus to see who delivered (because we had a fire going) and who could keep up with the other things I needed to eat by the end of cheat day!

We settled on fettuccine Alfredo (something I am newly hooked on), a small california pizza, and chicken wings.

I ate about 1/3 of the Alfredo (it was a little disappointing), about 5 wings, and only a bite or 2 of the pizza.

Good times! But again, when the hell do I ever eat like this? Who am I?

Pizza twice, pancakes, ice cream, danish, chocolate milk, wings, pasta with Alfredo sauce? Despite the fact that I am on a diet, all this crap is soooo bad for me. I wouldn’t put this stuff in my body a few weeks ago in these quantities, why am I doing it now?

In fact, later on in the hammock I sort of felt a little sick from dinner. Just not used to all the grease and cheese.

So, I am thinking that next Xtreme Fat Loss Diet cheat day, I use the day to refuel with more good carbs and less crap food. And if I want to have my ice cream as a treat that will be ok, but not in mass quantities.

What do you think? What have your cheat days looked like?

BTW, a quick note about my results so far. I am choosing to NOT take measurements or weight myself this morning as we should on each cheat day. WHy?

Because my “girlie” time is upon me and my stomach is significantly bigger than it will be a few days from now, I do not wish to see false results (and lose faith or motivation) nor report them to my readers to provide any false and negative reviews of the program that are unfounded.

I will resume with my measurements next cheat day.

Tomorrow is another fast day with 3 workouts…..but I am up for it. The Xtreme Fat Loss Diet will not claim me as a casualty!

I am definitely planning ice cream into my next cheat day! I also had birthday cake on my cheat day and I grazed on two of my favourites most of the afternoone – dark chocolate covered almonds and chocolate covered pretzels. YUM! :)

Yeah, the ice cream is the first think I think of on cheat day…soft twist, that’s my summer time weakness! Scott actually thanked me for doing the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet because now he only eats ice cream every 5 days! HA! Poor thing. But, the chocolate covered pretzels sound great! I will put it on my list for Friday!

Hey Susan,
On my cheat day here, day #11. So, I didn’t have a great start to my day because when I took my measurements I noticed that I have gotten bigger, not smaller. Maybe I don’t know how to measure my own self. My husband is going to measure me later but that may not be such a good idea at the end of a cheat day. We’ll see. After feeling down and kind of mind f**king myself, I decided to keep going. There are only 14 days left anyways. I might as well stick it through to the end. After my morning class I went to my trainer and he had me step on the scale and I have actually lost a kilo so that’s about 2.2 lbs. So maybe fat’s coming off but I am still swollen from doing soo much strength training!
I actually am not into eating soo much bad stuff for me this time as last time and I really wanted a smoothie so I made a huge strawberry with protein powder smoothie. And I had a banana and and nextarine with some chocolate muesli for breakfast. I have been craving pancakes all week but now that I’m here I really don’t want that. Maybe Sunday on my next cheat day I’ll do that. Anyways, just back from the gym. My left should and right knee are hurting a bit so I hope I’ll be able to pull off tomorrow’s lactic acid workout!

If you are having shoulder and knee pain you should consider taking a day off from weights. Stick with it….as women we have many hormone and fluid fluctuations which make progress points tough to use – but when you compare start and finish I think you will see a difference. At least I hope you will, because that is what I am banking on.
