Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Day 13

Ah, yet another shake day on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet.

My prior report of shake day still holds true, it is my least favorite day of the entire cycle – even fasting day.

And believe me, I have absolutely nothing against smoothies. When I am not using the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet I generally have a smoothie for breakfast most days.

I enjoy them very much. They are quick, satisfying, and you can throw a ton of fruits and veggies in them so you get all the vitamins and minerals you need to start your day off strong.

So, why the big issue with them now?

On the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, you are scheduled to have 5 shakes during your shake day. This comes after a complete fasting day so when you wake up and drink your first of the day, you are in absolute heaven.

But for me, after the third shake, I just don’t want them anymore, I want real food – something I can chew.

Also, I feel restricted as to what I can add to the shakes.

When I make them outside of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, I don’t limit myself. I’ve used:

  • bananas
  • berries
  • acai puree
  • gogi berries
  • spinach
  • nuts
  • nut butters
  • raw honey
  • cocoa nibs
  • hemp milk
  • almond milk
  • coconut milk
  • greek yogurt

I’ve used some of these ingredients in them and I’ve used all of these ingredients in them at one time.

But on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, I can’t get as creative and am limited by the # of grams of carbs, protein, and fats I can have and therefore, to only 2-3 ingredients at a time.

But whatever the reason is, the bottom line is by the end of the shake day when I’ve got 3+ smoothies already in me, all I seem to want is a sandwich.

The workout today was absolutely great! It was a strength workout and now that I am on cycle 3 I can absolutely tell that I am getting stronger.

Not only can I lift a little more weight but the entire workout itself wasn’t as daunting as it was in cycle 1. Perhaps it was the day off I took on day 10?

Whatever it was, I felt great!

For my 30 minutes of cardio, I took another bike ride through town and around the neighborhood. Tossed in a few hills in there for good measure!

Overall, not a bad day, but naturally, I am crazy looking forward to moderate carb day tomorow! I’m starting with a big bowl of oatmeal with fruit in the morning!

What shakes did you have today? I am on day 13 also and I started off with the oats and honey one! I love that one because I add a lot of cinnamon and having some oatmeal, even though it is in a shake is great!

I’m extremely boring with my shakes….fruit for carbs and nut butter for fats.
