Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Day 20

The second I realized I was awake this morning I knew it was going to be a great day on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet!

It’s day 20, the protein depletion day and I am gearing up to round third base and sprint to home plate (finish the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet strong, just in case you didn’t get my baseball metaphor).

My food intake today was a little odd. Well, I don’t know if odd is the exact word I’m looking for but it will have to do.

You see, it is super hot right now in upstate NY….been in the low 90′s with high humidity. Now, I already had a twitter friend from AZ laugh at me and tell me that is what their weather is all the time and I should stop being a baby about it.

However, it isn’t so much that I’m being a baby….I just think it is tough to go from 60 degree temps right to 90 + and expect me not to notice, especially when that weather doesn’t generally move in here until August. I’m just not acclimated yet.

So, you’re probably wondering what the weather here has anything to do with the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and how I faired on day 20.

Well, it was damn hot!

The really hot weather always takes my appetite away. I feel like I barely ate anything all day long. I was never hungry until about 10 pm and by then I didn’t feel like eating.

So here is what I managed to eat:

Breakfast:

  • Plain Greek yogurt from a local farm with protein powder
  • 2 eggs

Didn’t have a problem yet for breakfast.

Lunch:

  • 1/2 salad with chicken on top

It started here….I had to force the salad in and I only got half in. I’m sure I didn’t get the full amount of protein I needed for this meal.

Dinner

  • Steak
  • 2 egg whites (I didn’t want these, but I figured I was now nowhere near the amount of protein I needed)

That’s all folks!!

The good news is that I didn’t eat anything I really should not have eaten, but the bad news was that I didn’t get enough protein and probably calories. No big whoop.

For workouts, I did the lactic acid workout and I sweat buckets the whole time. As you know, I do all my workouts right at home (hence, the name of this blog :-) and I don’t have the AC going yet. It was brutal.

For cardio I took a late night bike ride when the sun went down.

Tomorrow I am going to have to do the workout first thing in the am to beat the heat…supposed to have another day just like today with the added bonus of thunder storms. Yeah.

I’m still thinking hard about which, if any, program I will be switching to once I am done with Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. What have you been thinking? Leave me a comment below.

Oh and guess what? Tomorrow is cheat day! It’s sort of bittersweet though because I will be starting my 5th and final cycle on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet.

However, I have made a commitment to myself and to all of you that I will go big for cycle 5 and give 100% effort to the program. This is my last chance to meet my fitness goals from Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and I will not fail.

I will be relentless. And I know you will be so today too.

Thanks for the comments! I ended up doing a combo day; having a shake in the morning but keeping it more of a mod carb day throughout the day. That seemed to work well!

Question here:
Tomorrow should be my Protein depletion day but I am actually going to have to change this cycle around a tiny bit because Fri would be my Cheat Day and Sat would be a fast day. However, I have a bachelorette party (last minute, I thought it was going to be next weekend.) Anyway, I need to add one more day. Do you recommend having a shake day or another Mod Carb day tomorrow and then Friday will be Depletion day and Sat cheat day! What do you think? Thanks soo much!
